    OLC PPA Internal Structure

    All members of the Executive Committee are elected by the General Meeting every two years and are responsible for the day to day operation of the Association.

    The World Confederation of the Past Pupils of Daughters of Mary Help of Christians is a lay non-profit association. It is one of the members of the Salesian Family, where the Rector Major is the Chancellor and the centre of the association. The members are numerous, consisting of people of every age, culture and social status. Every past pupil tries to live according to the Preventive System of Don Bosco: REASON - RELIGION – LOVING KINDNESS, in other words, also according to the human values of DIGNITY, FAITH and SOLIDARITY, with the sensitiveness of the Salesian Charism of Maria Domenica Mazzarello, co-foundress of the Institute of Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.

    Every past pupil would work for the affirmation of the values on which the dignity of the human person is based, working in different fields:

    1. In the family
    2. During work or study
    3. In social and political fields
    4. In school, in spare time, in social communication

    In the socio-cultural realities, the past pupils work for:

    1. Strengthening the friendly relationship among past pupils, particularly caring for those in difficulties
    2. Offering opportunities to the members to deepen the educational heritage
    3. Assuring that conditions are in harmony with the education received in the Salesian environment
    4. Supporting solidarity activities
    5. Supporting the activities for the young and the poor
    6. Finding ways to improve the female condition
    7. Using mass media as instruments to advocate the Confederation values.
    8. Improving the active participation of past pupils in the Salesian mission, working with the FMA and the local church.


    Every member:

    1. Takes part in the educational mission of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians
    2. Works according to the Salesian style
    3. Promotes the dignity of the woman, life and family
    4. Protects human rights and peace
    5. Promotes activities for young people
    6. Opens to the intercultural and interrelligious dialogue
    7. Works according to the Preventive System of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello
